Lighting / Ceiling / Shanghai

Davide Groppi's decorative and architectural products are simple in form, sleek and harmonise with modern architecture.

Davide Groppi (1963) started his career in mechanical design before segueing into lighting in 1988. A meeting with Maddelana De Padova led to his prototype ‘Baloo’ lamp being exhibited at the Salone del Mobile, and his career has followed a bright trajectory ever since. He has collaborated with prestige brands including Boffi, Mutina, Paola Lenti and Christofle as well as developing lighting under his own brand Davide Groppi.

Typified by simplicity and a sense of weightlessness, Davide Groppi’s lighting designs create maximum impact with a minimum of gesture. Subtly sculptural, they add quiet drama to any room.
