Workspace / Table / Florence Knoll Mini Desk

The Florence Knoll  Tables, designed to furnish the new interiors of postwar America, is a scaled-down translation of the lines, gestures and materials of modern architecture. Based on dimensions from the archive, the Mini Desk is a sophisticated way to work.

Florence Knoll (née Schust, 1917- 2019) studied architecture at the Cranbrook Academy of Art – considered the birthplace of American modernism – where she became a protégée of Eero Saarinen. She worked briefly for Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer before joining the offices of Hans Knoll in 1943. She became a business and design partner and as husband and wife they established Knoll Associates in 1946.

Knoll products are defined by a distinct modern sensibility. From classics by the likes of Mies van der Rohe to ground-breaking designs by contemporary creatives including Marc Newson, David Adjaye, Barber Osgerby and Rem Koolhaas.
