Seating / Workspace / Pilot Chair and Ottoman

Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby’s first collaboration with Knoll was in 2013 when they designed a collection of sofas.

They then went on to create the highly successful Pilot Chair in 2015, an innovative, upholstered lounge chair.

Pilot is a simple, comfortable and lightweight seating system designed for home, work and contract use.

The collection expands on this year to include an ottoman that sits alongside Pilot, a natural extension of the collection with a matching cast aluminum base.

Barber Osgerby is the London studio of Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby (both b. 1969), established in 1996. Their work encompasses furniture, lighting, product and graphic design, as well as interior architecture via their Universal Design Studio. Designers of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic torch and a £2 commemorate coin, they have collaborated with prestige brands including Vitra, Cappellini, Flos, Knoll and Emeco.

Knoll products are defined by a distinct modern sensibility. From classics by the likes of Mies van der Rohe to ground-breaking designs by contemporary creatives including Marc Newson, David Adjaye, Barber Osgerby and Rem Koolhaas.
