Air Chair is not just a plastic chair: it takes its name from the “air-moulding” technology that makes it possible to create highly resistant yet super-lightweight products out of polypropylene added with fibreglass. Harmonious, dynamic, stackable and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
British designer Jasper Morrison (b. 1959) studied at London’s Royal College of Art, setting up his own studio after graduating, in 1986. Working under the banner of the ‘New Simplicity” he has also termed his trademark minimal aesthetic “super normal”. Morrison has designed furniture, lighting, accessories and electronics for brands including, Cappellini, Magis, Flos, Samsung and Muji.
Magis prides itself on a wide-ranging catalogue of products that span from the aesthetically pure to the stylistically expressive. This deliberate eclecticism allows the brand to constantly push at the parameters of design.
