Understated and with a neoclassical inspiration, hence the name that references one of the pillars of ancient philosophy, the Plato chair is the manifestation of a perfect balance between form and function, able to harmonise the various living areas, in particular the outdoors. Available with and without arms (in several colours) and stackable.
British designer Jasper Morrison (b. 1959) studied at London’s Royal College of Art, setting up his own studio after graduating, in 1986. Working under the banner of the ‘New Simplicity” he has also termed his trademark minimal aesthetic “super normal”. Morrison has designed furniture, lighting, accessories and electronics for brands including, Cappellini, Magis, Flos, Samsung and Muji.
Magis prides itself on a wide-ranging catalogue of products that span from the aesthetically pure to the stylistically expressive. This deliberate eclecticism allows the brand to constantly push at the parameters of design.
