Qantas First Lounge

While we look forward to being able to travel, one thing we don’t miss is jet-lag. The Qantas International First lounge at Changi Airport, Singapore looks perfectly designed to combat this. Designed by Kelvin Ho of Akin Atelier and David Caon of Caon Studio the space divides the 1000sqm lounge into zones with perforated walls, banquettes, and curved brass partitions. With refined detailing, these elements define the various spaces while maintaining an openness throughout. Dining, lounge, cocktail bar, quiet space and shower facilities feature luxury materials of Carrara marble, oak, brass, terrazzo and plush carpeting in warm honeyed tones. Pockets of verdant greenery and CoeLux skylights which replicate natural daylight enhance the calming atmosphere and would be a welcome relief after the travails of a long plane journey.
